“Hey, do you wanna chip in on some top-grade wagyu beef? It’s from the same wholesalers as where Tetsuya gets his beef and I have to eat a whole kilo of it!”, squeals V. “hmmmm tempting”, I think to myself “but not tempting enough for me to eat meat!”. Yes I don’t eat meat… only seafood. I am a pescetarian. So please note, I am writing in a subjective way… recalling the joy and excitement as I watch my roommates V and Tom devouring the wagyu with such delight.

I have to be honest, I haven’t really heard much about Yoshii – just a passing mention here or there; all I knew was that they make fancy Japanese food. My friend was pretty excited about coming here and his enthusiasm piqued my interest.

Fondue’s one of those things that I’ve heard of so often but never tried. I think my first introduction to the concept of fondue was on an episode of Earthworm Jim where Evil the Cat wanted to destroy the universe. Strange, but true; *sighs* cartoons back then were so much better (and now I just sound old haha). Anywho, so imagine my delight when my friend invited me for a (belated) celebratory birthday dinner involving the consumption of fondue.
