Minh
Minh is a food, photography, tv loving girl who on occasion likes to think that she can cook. I can't hold my drink for what its worth and have an unhealthy obsession with green tea products.
Burch & Purchese Sweet Studio, South Yarra, Melbourne
There’s something that’s almost intoxicating about walking into a cake store, the scent of sugar seems to hang in the air and for a moment I expect to see a chocolate waterfall off on the side with strange little orange dudes running around, but we’re not too far off the mark.
Koreaculum 101, Seoul of Sydney, Bar H
When Teresa gave me the heads up about a new Korean crew setting up shop in Sydney, I immediately put on my stalker cap to find out as much as I could about Seoul of Sydney and what I saw only made me want to find out more.
Nuffnang Blogopolis 2011 and a Long Weekend in Melbourne
A few months ago Nuffnang invited es&t to present a Masterclass on Photography at Blogopolis down in Melbourne. Being petrified of public speaking I instantly said no, only to be convinced into it by Howard who promised that he would be right there to support me, except when he wasn’t thanks to his FC finals coinciding the same week.
Becasse Chef’s Table, Sydney CBD
The first thing I realise when we arrive at the Chef’s Table in Becasse is that the table really is set in the middle of the action. We’re set a mere meter away from the induction stove tops and have front row seats for the plating station where the man himself, Justin North is putting the final touches on some dishes before sending them out.
Orto Trading Co., Surry Hills
Walking into Orto Trading Co, I’m charmed by the quirkiness of the interior decorating and even more so at the sight of a dozen bottled flowers hanging from the ceiling.
The Dip, GOODGOD Small Club, Chinatown
Named for the dastardly Dip featured in ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit’, this Dip features a hell of a lot of old school American goodness in the form of Hot Dogs, Tacos, Burgers and some damn fine beer.
El Loco, Surry Hills
El Loco is the latest addition to the ever-growing list of Merivale Restaurants, it’s a popup bar designed by The Society Inc, literally built in 7 days and is headed up by possibly the busiest Chef in Sydney, Dan Hong. It’s a Mexican Cantina inspired by Roy Choi famous for his Korean Tacos and the result is an asian fusion explosion.
