Recently, the es&t crew went to New York City to celebrate the marriage of one of our original es&t members Teresa. Squishies (our es&t flag bearer) will probably have a whole bunch of New York posts to come. In the mean time, check out what Linda and I got up to in Playa Del Carmen in Mexico.

Playa del Carmen is a city located along the Caribbean Sea in the state of Quintana Roo in Mexico. To get there, we took a flight from New York City to Cancun and then hopped in a cab for a 45 minute ride to Playa del Carmen.

Over 4 days and 3 nights, we swam in crystal clear blue waters (even with turtles); ate amazing Mexican street food which gave me a new perspective on how Mexican food should really be prepared; and finally, allowed me to take a step back from the up-and-go of Sydney’s work and social landscape. All in all, Playa del Carmen is a hearty alternate holiday destination away from the clichés of the party town which Cancun offers.
