Both our sons are great cooks too but we will take their wives to Bilson&#039;s to introduce them to another great chef.  Thank you for a very special evening with friends. 		<description>took my girlfriend there last night for dinner and the whole experience was memorable.. 
we had the autumn fine bouche degustation menu with matching wines..
the only thing i did not enjoy was the 3rd course which was a tartar of black angus beef &amp; cuttlefish, mustard icecream and &#039;ink&#039; mayonnaise. the beef and cuttlefish was pleasant even though it was sitting on top of a bed of ink, thinly smeared onto te plate. but for me the flavor of ink left me reaching for my glass of wine in a hurry.. visually it was stunning, one the the nicest plated dishes of the night.. though the ink let it down for me..
apart from that one course the rest of the menu was wonderful, everything cooked to perfection.
matching wines with easch dish was lovely.. we were educated on french wines from the sommelier.. he was very warming to us and told us stories of where the wines came from and a little history of of each wine as he filled our glasses.. 
overall it was a nice experience for the both of us.</description>

When you walk into the Radisson Hotel from O&#039;Connell St, go past the reception desk and on your right, there&#039;s a small doorway to Bilson&#039;s. There&#039;s a sign too on the left of the doorway (I totally missed seeing that til the receptionist pointed it out to me).

If in doubt, ask reception - they&#039;re quite lovely people and will point you in the right direction =)

I&#039;m using a Nikkor f2.0 35mm. Minh reckons it&#039;s a bit soft and prefers the Nikkor f1.4 50mm as it&#039;s sharper, but I much prefer the 35mm because its focal point is not so far and I think it&#039;s sharp enough ^_^ (I know she&#039;ll pooh-pooh me for that haha)
