The food does look wonderful - in part I think due to the quality of the photos - how do you get such wonderful looking images? They look like they have been professionally shot. Nice blog too. Thanks.

shez: Hahah yeah, the lamb racks were quite impressive.

abercrombie: Despite that, we left feeling pretty satisfied I think =) Overall, it was a good experience.

Arwen from Hoglet K: LOL Just quietly, I thought so too. But I didn't have any, so I couldn't really say whether it was a good multi-layering or not.

The gingerbread and whipped cheese was a novel idea to me - never thought about putting them two together!

Forager, billy@ATFT: Me too! I adore Wanaka. I've been around the South Island (mainly sticking to the coast-line) and Wanaka's still one of the most gorgeous places we've been to. Awesome locals too. =)

Lorraine @NotQuiteNigella: ;) I sure did! hehe

Pierre: Thanks! I like your site =)

Have to say Lake Wanaka is one of the most amazing place in New Zealand that I can easily living in that small town. The food looks good, I have my eye on the Panna cotta.

Looks impressive if nothing else! I remember being in Lake Wanaka in early summer many many years ago and being absolutely blown away by how beautiful it is - the massive flowering fields of lupins may have played a large part of my infatuation with the place - but like you, the food I ate was not overwhelming.

I like the multi-layered pannacotta, even if it loses some wobble. The gingerbread and whipped cheese is a nice idea too!

The meals look absolutely delicious! And I love the way all of them were plated - so pretty! I gotta say, your main of lamb looked the most impressive out of the mains. Towering cutlets ahoy! Yum!
