There’s TWO main reasons why I make the trip to Maisy’s:
Maisy’s use to be a ritual for Lizzie and I to visit after our Oztag game (oh the irony… indulging in tasty food after “exercising”) and as our season is now over, the trips to Maisy’s greatly declined. After sitting at home for the whole day, I thought it would be a nice idea for me to be a little social, and a call to B and S turned into a dinner trip to Maisy’s.
There are only a few things that we order from here:
On this night, we tried a bigger variety of foods on the menu…

Lizzie’s vegetable salad *thing*.

Leanne’s Eggs Benedict (her meal of choice from Maisy’s)

with a side of wedges…
They were nice and crunchy =)

Plow’s beef burger
This burger is rather big in size…!

My scrambled eggs on toast
To my disappointment, the eggs were a little dry. There is really nothing *special* about these eggs… and never have been. It’s just my meal of choice from here =)
AND FINALLY….

STICKY DATE PUDDING with EXTRA caramel sauce
Yes, I agree with you… we are fatties. BUT this sticky date pudding is rather delicious, and with EXTRA sauce, it is EXTRA tastier! The warmth of the pudding and the sauce is complimented by the coldness of the icecream. Divine!
Maisy’s is a great cafe to hang or relax as you are guaranteed that it’s open at any time of the day/night. The food and drinks aren’t FLASH but the atmosphere is warm and comfy. The ONLY thing I’d recommend from here is the Sticky Date Pudding. To be honest, I don’t really like desserts that aren’t chocolate… but this really hits the sweet spot (in a good way!) It gets busy at the later times of the night (especially on the weekends). They have this cool tray that delivers the food from the kitchen (that’s located upstairs) to the lower area.

Your blog is so tastefully designed, I particularly like the clean layout and the feature post at the top. very nice, I love sydney by the way, I was there 2 years ago and my mates took me to the fish market for fresh lobsters. I was also at a place called makoto, what great sushi! I also ventured out to the vineyards in hunter valley. Sydney’s great, keep writing, I’m a faraway fan.
You have been stumbled by the way!!
stumbled upon!? REALLY! That’s awesome!
Makoto is great for sushi. If I don’t eat in or if I feel like sushi at home, I usually order the sushi platters. They are a great price and you usually get wayyy too much sushi for your own liking. Very fresh as well!
