Sunday Brunch

Sometimes eating out every weekend just isn’t possible. With the cold weather recently we were invited to an impromptu brunch in order to satisfy our Sunday morning blues. Nothing special here, just some comfort food with some mates to chat away on a Sunday morning.

Tasty Cheese Frittata

This frittata was initially fried in a fry pan until the frittata mixture settled. It was then put in the oven until crispy and golden brown.

Bill’s scrambled eggs

Based on the Bill’s recipe in the link above, these eggs were very rich and creamy.

Sauteed mushrooms with butter and parsley

Very simple dish here. The mushrooms were sauteed in a fry pan with parsley, butter and salt and pepper.

Pancakes with mixed and maple syrup

Another simple dish which you see a lot of people actually pay for at a restaurant. Home made pancakes were topped with a generous serving of mixed berries and finished with gallops of maple syrup to one’s desire.

Sometimes you don’t need to be sipping away on a soy milk cappuccino in a trendy eastern suburb’s cafe to enjoy a Sunday brunch.

We started eatshowandtell in 2008, it was meant to be just a journal of where we ate. The first thing I usually do when I'm looking for a restaurant is check out eatability and the restaurant website. But what is usually missing is pictures of the food, how do I know I'm getting what I expect? This blog hopefully plugs that gap.
